- Although revenue in 2025 declined marginally by 1.4% compared to 2024, this can still be considered positive given the tense global political and, in particular, economic conditions.
- Earnings before taxes remained significantly below the previous year at -20.5%. However, this is by no means a cause for concern, as the substantial decline was caused almost exclusively by extraordinary expenses, which will no longer occur in the coming years and will therefore increase profitability.
The fact that 2025 can still be considered a successful year despite slight declines in sales and earnings is impressively documented by the increase in the equity ratio from 90% to an outstanding 93%.
Outlook for the 2026 fiscal year
2026 is also shaping up to be another successful year. This is clearly demonstrated by the results for January, which is one of the best months in the company's more than 30-year history.
The expectation of success for 2026 is underpinned by the decision to build a new assembly hall for the production of basic sensors at BD|SENSORS in Thierstein.
This assembly hall, including machinery and equipment, is expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of 2026, so that sensor production can be systematically ramped up by mid-2027.
BD|SENSORS is thus creating an absolute novelty in electronic pressure and hydrostatic level measurement technology.
BD|SENSORS is the only manufacturer worldwide
that produces five basic sensor technologies in-house
or refines them to the highest technical standard.
